VP, Creative Director
Due North Communications
Karen, a graduate of OCAD, began her career as an art director. Seven years later, Karen switched disciplines and added copywriting to the resumé.
She has worked for several of Canada’s leading creative agencies prior to joining Due North, including Harrod & Mirlin, SMSLowe, BBDO and Cossette.
Karen has created memorable campaigns for such clients as Workopolis, H&R Block, GO Transit, Goodyear, Apple, Bell and TVOntario.
Karen has served as a judge for numerous creative award shows. She has also won a few awards herself. Her work has received frequent recognition here at home, as well as in award shows around the world.
A frequent contributor to The Globe and Mail and The National Post – Karen was also a columnist for The Toronto Sun.
On a personal note, Karen is married, and is the proud mother of two. On the rare occasions that she finds herself with spare time she collects wine, reads, and runs marathons to offset a fondness for all things food-related – particularly white chocolate.
